Hatchling         Weyrling         Adult

Name:       Aisling& Gold Varnith

Age:                    20

Physical Description:  Aisling has long curly honey coloured hair (which she usually wears in a tight braid) and large hazel eyes. She has fair skin which burns easily and a smattering of freckles over her nose and cheeks. She is quite tall for her age and by all appearances is still growing. She has a slim athletic build.

History: Aisling comes from a long line of harpers. Both her father and mother are harpers in a small hold in Keroon and she was sent sent to the harper crafthall in Fort Hold at age 12 to continue the tradition. However this all changed at the last Spring festival when some dragonriders from Sidra Weyr stopped in on their way back from search to listen to some new music that was being presented that night and had ended up searching her instead. Aisling is incredibly excited at being given a chance to impress for while she had previously accepted that she would continue her family's tradition of harpering, it had never been the burning ambition that it had been for her parents. She likes the possibility of becoming adragonrider a lot better.

Story So Far:

Since arriving at Sidra Weyr, Aisling's days have been very full.  She attends lessons with the other candidates in the weyr in the mornings and her afternoons are filled with chores such as helping in the kitchens and helping the head woman with inventorys and stores as her harper training has left her with an almost didactic memory. On Threadfall days she is part of the emergency crew helping to tend wounded riders and occasionally accompanies the ground crew out to search for burrowing thread.

Rest days however are her own and it was on one such day when she was picnicking with some other candidates down on sandy beach that they came upon a clutch that was just about to hatch. Using the meatrolls that were to be her midday meal, she managed to feed a bronze and a green enough that she impressed them both. The green she called Flick

and the bronze she called Folly

They now accompany her wherever she goes. With Folly perched on her right shoulder and Flick always somewhere nearby.
