Turustrilyth sighed as she glided into
Dragonwillow after her scheduled sweep of the lands to the south
of dragonwillow. Keeping an eye out for possible burrows since
the last threadfall. The south was grubbed ofcourse but old
habits died hard and it did no harm to make sure it remained
effective.
Ortaikimolth had officially been away
at Shivran Aerd four tendays and Turustrilyth missed the offbeat
humour and outspokenness of her clutch mate. Sure they had had
their differences but as a shy dragon at a new weyr she had
clung to her clutch mate like a lifeline annd felt at a loss
without him there to smooth the way for her. Sure everyone else
was as nice as pie but she felt at a loss in social surroundings
and more than a little uncomfortable in large groups.
It was different when they were drilling
ofcourse or fighting thread the she would perform her part in
the queenns wing to the best of her ability. However she envied
the casual amiability the other dragonsn had with each other
at other times and wished daily she knew how to emulate it.
She couldn't seem to though. So most of the time she minded
her own business and did what she was told and prayed she wouldn't
need to rise anytime soon.
Though turustrilyth didn't know it at
the time, Some one else had taken notice of her and wasn't going
to let her stay in her shell (or scales) much longer.
